depending on smudge it can either be very simple or complex, the complex is way easier with a tablet
the ones i seen you do are great when it comes to composition of the overall tho, since it's basically same color scheme of it being the rendered duped and deformed
i say get with the original styles 1st that consist of stock,render,and like a frac or somthing and learn everything you start a new piece throwing in somthing diff or maybe a splatter clipping mask
