I got a Slate 7 pretty cheap and it was well worth it. I don't need a whole lot but it does what I need it to and it's nice when I'm having to sit around for hours at a time waiting for X to take place so I can Y. Watch movies, YouTube, play chess and other games, read books, comics, light chat on IRC (I keep it oldschool), browse the web, twitter, facebook and manage my Steam stuff. It doesn't come with a whole lot of internal memory but micro SD cards aren't that expensive tbh. It's nice to have for a lot of things I
could do on my phone but wouldn't want because the screen is too small and I'm getting old so squinting at text isn't really all that appealing to me.
