my battles i use my rode NTK, its a condenser - i just use a focusrite pre amp connected to my pc thru the focusrites usb..so it's clean , but im not spitting in a booth or anything, my tracks r done at studios mostly..but my oldest battles im using that blue yeti usb and it sounded clean-u know if ur boy is giving u a good condenser mic u have to get a pre amp with phantom power to run it.thats why i tell everyone starting to get usb powered to start
