Vote Rating Structure *UPDATED*

Moving forward we have removed the 1-10 vote rating system. With this new feature, simply select who you feel wins the particular battle you're voting on and leave some feedback for both participants.

Our thinking behind this is that moving forward this will help combat complaints over votes as well as remove (for the most part) some members need to go and hate vote against someone who they deemed gave them a low rate for their set of bars. By being only winner/loser, it will make the battling and voting process much easier and smoother for all involved.

Each individual vote has always been just one vote.

The VP is still the same, everything else is still the same its just the 1-10 thats been removed.

If you mean like the monthly ratings and such, it's based off of you win/loss ratio.

Currently, nothing for the most part. They never really did anyway. The ratings will come back eventually but for now the staff and current owner (Who has final say) agree that simplifying and streamlining is the way to go. Honestly I've NEVER seen anyone care about their ESR/Star Rating on here. Everyone has always cared what the ratings they got on their battles were but I STG I've not once seen anyone brag about having a higher Star Rating than someone else. I tried to convince X, when he was the owner, that we should be using it like an ELO system. It never happened though. I think because it would have been a logistical nightmare.


How have you been here this long and you still have no idea how the voting system works. There are 0 people whose vote counts for four votes. I'm going to explain it to you and maybe you'll get it this time.

Every user has a certain amount of points that their vote is worth. It is either 0, 1, or 2. Everyone starts with 2 points. Shitty voters have their points lowered by one over time to the point where, if they keep voting badly, their votes become worth nothing.

So say you and I battle. I get three votes and you get two. If two of the people who voted for me are people who have made bad votes in the past I might only get two points or even none for those voters. Which means if the two who voted for you are decent voters then you would win with only the two votes because you won more points.

It's kind of like boxing but if the judges decisions were weighted by how they had ranked in the past. Shitty judges scores wouldn't count for as much as judges who have scored fights more accurately and fairly.

And I appreciate the expo...but you still ain't answered the ranking question. Obviously it has to do with win and losses. But where tf do the points come from exactly? Again, I wasn't around when seasonal rankings started, when the all time rankings stopped (Notice None of the haters or anyone, except Boro, and Noble are on the all time ranks) and don't go say it's because y'all stopped it. Shit only stopped 2 years ago...out of 17 years. Lol..

All they Basically saying is they're removing the Rate a Battle- or [Maybe Tracks in the future].. and Your Stars under Denoting your skill level thing will be Affected a Different way,.. Because People "complained to them",.. or to deter the Revenge Hate votes...

What affects your Rating, is Other Peoples VP,.. if a hate Voter wanted to do that,.. they simply have to make you lose, That's all that Matters anyway,.. Usually, they'd drop the Hate Vote, drop a Fake expo, then chose a Number,.. now there's no numbers,..

I personally Cared about the stars but never said anything because i felt it was a Given that we all GAF,.. people flex their wins, if they if they win By 1OO-O, or just win period,.. For Bragging rights,.. Well Yeah , the percentages are affected By VP , so they're not always indicative of How nice YOU WERE vs that of your Opponent, all you see is your Loss now, and Expos,.. I'd be Ok if i lost 1OO-O, Because i expect to Lose,.. But I'm not Dropping a 5 verse,.. if we battle and someone with Flames and STARS Rates me a 7 and you a 9 and Expos it,.. I feel better and am more inclined to Take that Advice on what to work on should they have any,.. there's the Notion that , "everyone says you lost, so you're ass, or I'm better than you"- Not quite as Impactful if you dropped a 9 and i Dropped an 8 and that's the Consensus,. By the change you just Give more credence to the Vp.
