Audio Recording Static Etc.

Anybody having issues with recording on iphone or ipad? I keep getting static and lapses in recording time and fast forwards. Been happening for months and ive tried turning off speakers, wifi for one or the other, then both. Bought a new mic. Feel like it was doing this on old laptop too, just all of a sudden audio started sounding like shit. Even tried uplaoding from file but it wont accept anything other than mp4 i think.
Im outta ideas...

Yeah i noticed the same issues some point last year, when recording on phone.

Recording via USB mic and laptop/desktop is fine though. You can get a USB condenser mic for around/under 100 that will work like a charm.

File upload is MP3 format if i'm not mistaken.
