WEEK 3 RECAP
Alzie was on a bye
Brayne Ded def. g u t s (100-0)
Rieper def. Lil Kilo (100-0)
Verse of the Week: Rieper
CURRENT STANDINGS
1. Brayne Ded (3-0)
2. Rieper (1-1)
3. Lil Kilo (1-1)
4. g u t s (1–2)
5. Alzie (0-2)
WEEK 4 MATCHUPS
Rieper vs g u t s
In the penultimate week of the season, Lock and guts match up in what promises to be a spirited affair. With a win, Lock can take a stranglehold on 2nd place. Since being a surprise addition to the season (due to MaCc and Panorapic both dropping out a few weeks in), Lock has quickly reminded everyone why he is the defending champion by turning in a Verse of the Week performance against KG. He'll look to keep that momentum rolling as the season draws to a close. But if guts can pull out the win he'll improve to 2-2 and clinch a playoff berth along the way. This is guts' last battle of the regular season as he will take the bye in Week 5, so the pressure is on for him to put himself in a position to qualify for the playoffs and not leave it up to Alzie to sneak in and snatch a spot.
Lil Kilo vs Alzie
This one is shaping up to be a pivotal match-up in determining the playoff seeding. KG is coming off a crippling defeat at the hands of Lock in Week 3, while Alzie is fresh off a bye week. However, Alzie has sputtered out of the gate and finds himself in a deep 0-2 hole. This is a MUST WIN for Alzie, as a loss drops him to 0-3 and would make it virtually impossible to qualify for the playoffs. At the same time, KG is probably viewing this as a must win himself, as Alzie and guts are right on his tail. Viewers should expect this one to be another classic installment of the KG / Alzie saga.
Brayne Ded is on a bye week.
All battles are 8 lines. Deadline for this week is Friday, February 22nd at 11:59 PM EST.
