Summary
Top Notch is one of the only Hall of Famers to never win a Grand Championship, although he did notably get to the semi-finals of Basic Text Tournament #3 before losing to Illimit (who went on to win it). This speaks to the strength of his record in the battle arena where he was famed for his long win streaks (multiple 20+) over top class opponents many of which are current HOFers. These win streaks established his crew Lyrical Killaz as one of the best crews on the site for multiple years and played a part in it's place in the crew HOF.
Notch eventually moved on to Back Hand Clique which also have a rich history including the infamous beef with Askari & UNKNOWN ARTIST's crew Utility Service Squad. During his time on Letsbeef he also had beefs (often spilling over into the cypher section) with WAR TANK, Made Fresh Daily & Hoodrich All Stars.
Despite these notorious rivalries Notch was a surprisingly laid back presence in the forums often living up to his slogan 'Cool, Calm & Collected' or the 'Triple C Program'.

"Notchy was one of the earliest top guys, pun intended, that I recognized on LB. He had a simple punchline style that helped teach the entire new generation of LB how to write, and I can even right now quote you bars he wrote over a decade ago. His position at the head of Lyrical Killaz was something everyone on LB respected, and LK was one of the few crews to unwavering take on any challengers with Notch being the first one to drop lines when it happened. His later crew of Back Hand Clique served as the opposition for some of my fondest memories on LB and this wouldn't have been possible without having someone with the legitimacy of Top Notch on the other siide.
