How long you guys usually spend on average writing an 8 line battle verse.

I'll start, I usually just bust them out in like 2 to 3 hour periods for higher effort ones.
I have spent upwards of 2 days though letting them simmer.

Yeah, that sounds about right. 3 hours I would say on average.

45 minutes.

I require a long time to finish a verse, usually several days, but the actual amount of time spent writing is very low. Most of my concepts are just things that hit me while I'm doing something else. I doubt that I spend more than 15 minutes or so actually writing an 8-line verse with those concepts.

Shit I spend at most like 30 minutes on 16's. Compiling the concepts is something I do during my day to day life, but writing itself not much. Its probably what holds me back the most in terms of how good I can be.

Honestly depends. I wrote my 16 for phe in 2 hours when he called me out then got bodied. 8 line would take like 20-30 minutes if im focused. If im not maybe 10 more to try to get inspired lol.

I can honestly say that all of my 8 liners have been off the top in the moment, then i capitalize the multies lol... 16s and 32s are a different story though.

How does being high affect your writing speed? (assuming that you're ever NOT high)

depends. Im always aiming for original concepts as opposed to just doing a spin off of old ones. id say 45 to 90 mins for an 8. 3 hours for.a 16

Eh 40% of the time I smoke before I write. I feel like I'm provided with an interesting change of perspective that seems to allow for a bit more fluidity in my structure. It definitely makes the process way faster if I get into my pocket and get actually inspired, though I will not lie, being high while focusing on writing for more than 20-30 minutes leads me to getting bored fast and switching to other tabs lol.

Smoking first helps me not overthink shit. I am a slow writer and reader though—I pay too much attention to details that shouldn't require it. And I like to look up personals and shit if I'm feeling down for it.
