I dig the new formatting features. However, don't over-format your shit. Trust, I've won and lost and won my share of battles, but the best advice I got was from Huey J. One of the dopest (HOF caliber) writers the site has seen. Dude didn't capitalize or "" '' //-- AT ALL and still got the point across.
If your the NawkOut or even Rican archetype of battler, you have to put something around the wordplay. This is more from lack of faith in the readers ability
But use examples like @HueyJ DaDDiO, or UNKNOWN ARTIST. The track record says something.
I'm going to write something about battler archetypes here soon.
Long story LESS IS FUCKING MORE. No more :monkey: shit. Don't fuck it up.
Btw, Godbody are/we're you pULSe?

Now how do you feel about complex verses with a ton of references crammed into a punch vs. simple straight to the point verses? RhetoriK. Right now a lot of dudes are all about complexity.

It can be done but in text it's all about how it's delivered. A clean verse is a clean verse. The more readable verse wins. It's been my downfall as a fairly complex writer too many times lol

You're actually one of the ones that doesn't have this problem.
However, you shouldn't call out Ohs for slant rhyming and then slant the very next syllable lol
Jokes aside.. you know what the hell you're doing.
