March 2017 Grand Champion Audio Tournament

The March 2017 Grand Champion Audio Tournament will start on SUNDAY, MARCH 5th 2017.

BACKGROUND
We ended up getting 24 people ranking in the audio tournament. In order to run a 32-person tournament, I made a decision that the Top 8 ranked will automatically advance to round 2. They will face the System user in Round 1 who will forfeit and advance them.

RULES

Round 1 starts on Sunday, March 5th at 12pm PST
Each round lasts 7 days
You have 4 days to post to your battle verses in each round
Voting closes each Sunday at 12pm PST and a new round begins, this leaves minimum 2 days of voting but could be more if both participants post early.
Battle length is 2 MINUTES
Battle style is WRITTEN ACAPELLA

I think most know I like to freestyle and its what I do. Lookin this over though, I think most prefer and will write for this battle. Unless theres a way you can guarantee people are freestyling you are going to get a lot of people putting a lot more time into there verse than a "freestyle" requires. The 1 or 2 that will actually free, will have a very different verse than their opponent. Just sayin.

I don't know. I would actually argue that the text side is emulating the audio one, not the other way around. Battle Rap in modernity takes places in an accapella format, even in 3/4 of the major leagues that exist.

After this maybe we could host a smaller on beat tourney? As of right now the audio side isn't being paid much attention to in our rebuilding stage, I feel like after this someone should do that. I'll definitely put something together.
