Any recommendations for a mic, laptop, program, best websites for beats, and means of mixing? Trying to make a decent homemade tape for giggles and shit.
I know this isn't the audio thread but I know most of you guys are audio anyway plus most of LB traffick comes here.
You're gonna need some Vaseline, a golf club, duct tape and electric razor, 3 pieces of swiss cheese and an empty milk container. The rest comes natural.
^ Definitely the guy you should be taking track advice from.

A decent mic, a good program like Pro Tools, Cool Edit/Audition, Frooty Loops, etc.
You wanna make your tape sound hella abstract. Be original like don't add skits. I think skits are retarded and weak af especially for a mixtape. Fucking with mainstream beats is probably another thing you should stay away from. Try finding some that no one has used before.. Or at least unheard of.

Get a cheap USB condenser mic & start off with Cool Edit Pro (simplest).

I'm sure Rant knows a lot about Homemade mixes.
Nah, I don't watch amateur porn. The story lines are too uncompelling.

Don't skimp out on a cheap mic. Go big or stop polluting the genre
