Do you think we should be trying to develop AI that is BOTH smarter than us and independent (capable of making it's own decisions without any human control)? Or is that something that is bound to go wrong eventually?

I've brought up similar questions, relating to the effect of individualization of AI personality types, and the inclusion of empathetic response in these instances of hyper intelligence. It's a very interesting topic, but, I feel as the AI advances, and evolves itself, it will eventually begin to realize the negative effect that humanity may have on this development.
