he used the same beat twice on his first album
and nobody really noticed it because he killed it

as far as crafting words for the sake of rhyme Eminem is superior
as far as being the better emcee and song maker Notorious Big AFD

PS but this aint Sony

for all the stans here

Big's net worth is higher than Eminem's
and he's been dead for 17 years!!!!

Cosign^ Honestly I'm glad someone else has the balls to say this. I've always thought Biggie was overrated as fuck. Says the most suspect shit ever too. I wouldn't consider him exactly wack though.

Never got into biggie much, doesn't appeal to what I look for in an emcee.

Old Em, however? He definitely did.

hip hop had lower standards back then, biggie did have a mean delivery and cold flow tho

eminem is just more evolved atm as a art form

Biggie and em both changed hip hop. Em did kill it better than big but I wouldn't say big is wack nor overrated. What's next... Old jay > nas...

I dont even think BIG was Top 3 of his era...the thing is, the West had Death Row and that roster was mean.. Pac, Snoop, Dre...Diddy had Ma$e & BIG... it's like those 2 rosters, Hip-Hop wise were like Roc-A-Fella & YMCMB

so logically they gotta put someone up against Pac... and since BIG was on that time period's version of YMCMB he got put on for the East

Ma$e was way nicer than BIGGIE.. Nas, DMX, Jada...mad niggas were shittin on BIGGIE back then

I would say Big was more evolved
Because I outgrew Eminem's earlier work
and his newer stuff is ugh.....

back in school I thought he was some genius and shit
now if I play the Slim Shady LP or Marshall Mathers LP
it seems childish af I really couldn't believe I fucked with it

if you judge Ready to Die with Slim Shady LP/Marshall Mathers LP
its clear that Biggie was the better rapper and song maker

people seem to have forgotten/ or don't know
that Big didn't record it with Em they used a Big verse
Em just layed a verse down after Big had been dead for 3 years

hell im sure some people here could edge out Pac & prime Nas
with that time frame after hearing the verse

Im thinking about all of their debuts and

the only one I would pick over Ready 2 Die

would be Illmatic
