The LBT Championship began its rebirth on the 14th of October, 2013. Since then the first week of the month hosted a LBT battle card. This Tri-annual review will take place three times a year, after four consecutive battle cards.

The second LBT tri-annual review period was strong, yet trying-at-times. The format took off in a big way, with the LBT Title becoming legitimately one of the sites most sought after championships. Unfortunately the number of no-shows increased from the amount seen in the previous four battle cards. This however can be attributed to the Grand Championship tournament that ran during two months of this period. Yet again, one man continued to reign supreme over the rest of the field, with ILLoKWENT remaining the undefeated champion. Other LBT staples when on to have great runs in the Grand Championship, with the seven LBT-battle Dissizit becoming the eventual Champion.

After the second four LBT cards, a number of textcees stood out as the strongest of the pack, dropping consistantly high level perrformances. NOTE that the records displayed are the battlers records for this four month period, not their all time records, which can be found HERE. (http://www.letsbeef.com/forums/showthread.php?t=135986)

ILLoKWENT (4-0)

What can be said? Illo went another four months undefeated, the highlight being him beating Dissizit in a great battle at Date With Destiny '14. No Show victories over Erupt and MAN DOWN sandwiched another strong win over ELOH_STACKz. Illo looks set to continue his run as the untouchable one.

Row (2-0)

Row was a late comer to the LBT scene, but has made an impact in the biggest way, with two massive wins in a row over respected textcees Lockhart & Obey. Rows form has put him into title contention with just two battles, this is a rising star to keep an eye on.

Fidel Z (3-1)

Fidel achieved another three victories in his second four-month period battling on the LBT. Three strong wins against solid opponents makes him yet again one of the Tri-Annual LBT stars. A no-show during his Number One contenders match Vs MAN DOWN was a big shame, especially as a victory would of made him the only person to ever earn two title shots.

Phenomonon (3-0)

Before this time period started, Phenomonon was 0-3. Instead of wallowing or quitting, he hustled and re-focused, and has already broken even with his LBT battle record. Two no-show wins plus a landslide victory over CakedOut has given Phe a fresh slate, and a chance to become the biggest comeback battler in LBT history.

And The Best Of The Rest...

Rican went 3-1 with all 4 battles featuring a no-show. His upcoming title match Vs Illo will be his first true test... // Lockhart went 1-3, an odd downturn of form for him leaves him with a all time 3-5 LBT record. // Talented textcees Black Book and Jack Skellington are currently 1-4, both due mostly to no-shows. A big shame given this format would be perfect for both to elevate through the ranks. // Grand Champion Dissizit went 1-2 during this time period, and is in need of a re-boot of his LBT form. // Punk had a ressurection of sorts, picking up 3 victories in 4 months to improve his record to 4-3.. // ELOH_STACKz continues to impress with strong performances, and has also racked up a 4-3 battle record. // Subreal went 1-1 but with two very strong performances. His best verses of recent times have been on the LBT cards.

The LBT Championship Battle
Dissizit (3-1) Vs ILLoKWENT (4-0) (http://www.letsbeef.com/battle_details.php?section=tb&id=473936)
Winner: ILLoKWENT (Via 71%)

Illo again gets the top honours with this great battle between The LBT Champion and the soon-to-be-crowned Grand Champion. These two went 32 lines punch for punch and Illo came away with a strong victory, solidifying his place as one of the sites premier battlers.

Subreal (0-1) Vs Manhattan (0-0) (http://www.letsbeef.com/battle_details.php?id=473973)
Winner: Manhattan (Via 51%)

These two up-and-comers went head to head in the closest LBT battle ever. With a large amount of voters, the fact that this went down to a 1% margin shows that neither deserved a loss here.

Bleu (0-0) Vs ViTRiOL (0-0) (http://www.letsbeef.com/battle_details.php?section=tb&id=477591)
Winner: ViTRiOL (Via 73%)

Two newcomers to the league put on a great battle, Vitty showing the form that made him such a respected battler in past years, and Bleu proving his fearless-ness while in the middle of an 125+ battle undefeated streak.

Obey (3-2) Vs Row (0-0) (http://www.letsbeef.com/battle_details.php?section=tb&id=476581)
Winner: Row (Via 80%)

This great spar was criminally slept on vote-wise. The two rookies putting on a strong effort, with Row coming away with the W. Both made big waves with their performances here, showing the potential to become future heavyweights.

Black Book (0-3) Vs Victor Mancini (1-2) (http://www.letsbeef.com/battle_details.php?id=473322&section=tb)
Winner: Black Book (Via 71%)

The two perennial under achievers finally managed to make good on their threats to be real forces in the text arena, with Black Book avenging a GC Tournament loss to the unique Jack Skellington.

GOOD GRIEF (0-0) Vs RULE (0-0) (http://www.letsbeef.com/battle_details.php?section=tb&id=476492)
Winner: RULE (Via 100%)

GOOD GRIEF was RULE's last basic arena loss, so this rematch was an upper-card attraction, with RULE winning a battle that many felt was his best performance in many years. GG shook off his ring rust to prove he still had the bars top test the best of Letsbeef.

The best card of this four month period was Date With Destiny '14 (http://www.letsbeef.com/forums/showthread.php?t=138417) This card edged out S.O.S. '14 (http://www.letsbeef.com/forums/showthread.php?t=140940) for the top honour. With Diss Vs Illo, Book Vs Jack & Sub Vs Man all impressing, this battle card led the way as far as quality goes. Overall the four cards were inconsistant, with the amount of no-shows becoming disturbingly high. A clamp down of no-shower's should help the next four cards eclipse all that have come before it!

This wraps up the LBT Tri-Annual Review, click HERE (http://www.letsbeef.com/forums/showthread.php?t=135986) for more details on how to enter the LBT, or for battler information. A big thank you to all the battlers who have helped the LBT maintain its high standards, See you again in four months time!
