This is bullshit lol. She didn't cover up Hillsborough at all , I'm not even a Tory I'm Labour. You can say her encoraging the police to be a patisan force through the minor and industrial strikes planted the seed that would grow into the police falsifying reports, but she didn't cover up anything, the police did.

The interim report would “sap confidence in the police force” and could encourage aggressive behaviour by fans towards officers, said the memo, adding: “Liverpool fans – who have caused trouble in the past – will feel vindicated.”

But Mrs Thatcher made clear in her handwritten note she did not want to give the government’s full backing to Lord Taylor’s criticisms, only to the way in which he had conducted his inquiry and made recommendations for action.

She wrote: “What do we mean by ‘welcoming the broad thrust of the report’? The broad thrust is devastating criticism of the police. Is that for us to welcome? Surely we welcome the thoroughness of the report and its recommendations – M.T.”

Meanwhile, the Independent Police Complaints Commission’s 10-point action plan for the huge investigation into the Hillsborough cover-up said that it would look at: “Interactions of police officers with press and politicians.



So, when faced with evidence after the original enquiry, which was highly critical of the police's handling, she sought to downplay the evidence and took the recommendations no further. No justice.
