why small businesses

With small businesses you have a small group devoted to the success of that business....less shares = higher percentage of ownership and financial compensation...

In the stock market your basically dealing with multi national organization who just wants to get rich...basically using ur money to do so with no real personnal losses to the primary investorsbif it fails...but crippling effects on the mid and low level shareholders....

Its basically capitalism in its worst form..

ya i get how the shares factor in - i didnt know if there was another big reason...so how do you guys feel about slumping companies (once prominent) and the chances that they return to their highs

it was more about learning the whole process - which i still have a ways to go - but one thing i did learn was the trading fee can be a bitch...and not only did it get me once, but i bought in 3 different times - each for small amounts of shares...lol not so smart, but hindsights 20/20

5 shares of flowers
10 of wendy's
15 of joe's

This may be true in Canada. But this is absolutely not true in the United States, the home of small business failure.

You want some stock advice?

Invest in Google and Sony

Sony is doing so bad financially that they cut their fridge business and I think PCs. They're considering dumpin the phone n TV business and focus primarily on the PS4 lol. Investors were so pleased by this move that their shit went up 80% from this time last year

And Googles just Google. Monster of a company

dont invest in google, Theyve capped out and probably wont go much higher unless they come up with some new innovative bullshit. I would have said yes to Google 4 years ago when their stock was around 200-300 a share. Now they are over 1k a share. I sold my Google stocks when they hit about 600 because i was afraid they would drop again.

if that many people are in it - we should start a stock market game..set a start and end date, give people X amount of money, let them go wild, and see who's portfolio grew the most over that time period..or its that too in-depth, have them pick a stock and the highest % increased over that time period wins
