Summary

Milk first arrived on the Letsbeef scene in 2007. Within his first few battles, he quickly gained the respect of LetsBeef’s elite, including but not limited to Conceited, Real Talk, and Illimit. A forefront member of the highly lauded "Golden Era" of letsbeef. Strangely enough, Milk became a fan-favorite though his presence on the site was grossly intermittent. When Milk did show up, however, his verses were the hardest to forget which made his in-and-out routine forgivable. I suppose it’s tough to argue with "quality over quantity". To this day he still possesses the skill to defeat anyone on the site. A battle legend in his own right, Milk is arguably the most effective, entertaining and unique textcee…period.

Known Multi Accounts & Aliases

Milk joined as Bobby Milk, but eventually posted under his new alias, DeNiro, which was later renamed to DeNiro B Milk. Shortly thereafter a new Letsbeef/Grind Time artist began to use the DeNiro handle during the same period when the DeNiro B Milk handle was most active (That being Mikey DeNiro). Many Letsbeef members speculate whether DeNiro B Milk and the Grind Time DeNiro is the same person. Despite rumors to the contrary, Milk has never appeared on the live battling circuit.

Crew Afflications

Even though many crews attempted to recruit Milk, he had no crew affiliations for most of his tenure. During Milk’s brief stint as an exclusive member, he started the Deniro Club, of which he was the founder, leader and only member. The DeNiro Club was decommissioned in late 2007 when Milk’s exclusive membership expired. Conceited – formerly a Letsbeef textcee and currently a Grind Time/URL battler and leader of S.O.N.S. – reached out to Milk in 2007 to schedule an over-the-phone audition to recruit Milk. To which Milk never showed up. Before joining Hoodrich All Stars, Milk posted his freestyle over the Notorious B.I.G.’s track, Niggas Bleed. Impressed by Milk’s flow, Real Talk invited Milk to the Hall Of Fame Hoodrich crew. In response to the invite, Milk wagered that he would join Hoodrich, if and only if Real Talk beats him in a 32-line battle. Real Talk accepted the challenge and Milk lost what many consider one of the best battles ever. It was the fourth and final encounter between the two giants. Real Talk, now a Grind Time battler, has recently tried to convince Milk to join the live battling circuit. Milk’s participation is to be determined.

Most Acclaimed Victories

Nowadays most textcees striving for greatness will engage in a high volume of battles in the 8-line bar format, battling a wide range of opponents: unskilled to very skilled. Milk, however, distinguishes himself by only battling top-tier textcees in the 16, 32, and 64-line formats. As a result, even battles Milk loses are still considered classics, thereby enhancing his legendary status. Because Milk’s strength of schedule forced him to improve and always write his best material, it’s no surprise that he established landmark victories against Letsbeef’s biggest names:

Site Impact

Milk is best known for his unique swag and entertaining concepts. In all of Milk’s battle – win or lose – voters appreciate Milk for his originality and style. Specifically in a landmark battle with Illimit, Milk set a trend by using the second half of his 64-line verse to show-off compound rhyme schemes while in story-telling mode. As a result of this battle, many textcees who typically avoided the lengthy formats became inspired to do 32-liners and 64-liners. Many battlers also adopted and used the story-telling angle. One word that absolutely sums up Bobby would be: Unique. He is the king of great VERSES, as opposed to verses made up of great lines. Or as its widely known on letsbeef: The 'Bobby Milk' style.

Letsbeef Speaks

"If you dont know about Milk then i feel sorry for you. Dude has the most unique style on the entire site, his verses are like a special occassion on the site for real. Most people write punchlines 2 or 3 lines at a time until they've filled the box, Bobby tho just writes complete verses. Its hard to explain & thats about the best way i can explain it, when you read his verses as a whole you see the true brillance behind them. Dudes a true rarity on the site and im honoured to of been able to have a classick 64 with him myself. AND King Milk is real straight dude as well, a humble great. If he aint a LB legend then no-one is." - RULE (http://www.letsbeef.com/RULE)

"DeNiro's landing on the site was a complete bolt from the blue. Out of nowhere this newcomer was dropping these heavyweight battles against the top teir of the site, which back then was Real Talk, LEFT FIELD, Illimit et al. I remember seeing his 'May-March' line with the {fagetaboutit} tagged on the end and being really impressed by the swag and sheer creativity. He had no fear, sending 32's & 64's to anyone who was anyone - which, incidentally he still does. DeNiro B Milk (Bobby Milk) soon became this enigma, this household name that had a mystical and almost anonymous persona, constantly dropping fire after fire verse without a slip-up. Fearless and ambitious, B Milk has never disappointed in a battle, and has easily been the most consistent cat in terms of quality and longevity this site has ever seen. A very deserving addition to the HoF, and a very influential textcee to me personally. Congrats amigo, fagetaboutit." - Askari (http://www.letsbeef.com/Askari)
