** * * * * * *Prelude to Battle*

Camp fires burn in the distance. They witness the glows, below Orions Belt.
marching in rows, and hoisting there bows, as loved ones cried, beneath the surface the cryins felt.
Their nerves were rattled, as if pierced by a thousand needles,*
But aside their brothers, spirits were high as the brows of eagles.
Tho some dry heaved, over thoughts of this war for land,
Why? Believed to be politics, sent to their deaths far from sand.
Stories of past battles, brought grim feelings amongst the soldiers in arms,
Breaths start to gasp, but thoughts of their familys help them shoulder the warmth.
Today is the day, yet fate is held distant, the battle is on,
No one sleeps, as infant fears arise, every ones loathing the dawn.
The sun starts to peek through the trees as the fog sets,
as if smokes covered the earth, from the trees, leakes a mass of silohouetts.
Overwhelmd, and out numbered, the soldiers try to muster confidence,
But caught, in what seems a pre determined dream, a cluster of consequence.
their boots are laced tight, pistols are holstered,
Ready to embrace the fight, they let out whistles, so their morale bolsters.
Anxious feelings grow colder, all of a sudden,
This is it, with all their uniforms botton'd.
Shots ring out, some one leads the charge of soldiers,
With the first death gone, the pre lude to battle is over.

Thrown up from the phone, what!!

"One Face Of Death"

Internal conflicts, external resolution.. / Syths sweep the
battlefield. Death hurls the mezzaluna /
Different attire, but the "fatigue is all the same" / Sadistic type
war-heads "feelin all the pain" /
The fire and rain arbitrate where smoke'll settle, blades air eneimies
but why the hell we choke metal? /
Sound boy play revel, I am todays devil, groundbreaking visional Ace
of Spades with Grey shovels /
Diplomacy is a "Two headed Lion" / Primogeneic benifit though the
death while dueling the scion /
Does Scissor Tounged Eloquence, downplay Whips, Guns and Elephant
saddled benevolence? Irrelevant. /
I "Prey, to live to tell of it." We "Buy Bull" Tired of getting
theologically sodomized, I'm now cellabut /
Fighting for the right to die for something / Ironically that makes dying nothing /
I'm lustimg the end of the dispute in this irrefrgable minute of repute /
Seeminglessly Destitute, searching for the restitude to enlightn my children's generstion of our leaders ineptitude /
Battle in my blood, I feel this life is a leper's nuse /
Vexed, abused with weapons used neglectin truth for accptance to...
A new world.
A monochromatic ended is still splended yet suspended
Because the picture embedded in my mind is nothing but a "black and white image"...

The account of a soldier.

Quick one from work. Good luck.

Rhyming Scheme/Flow- Nice flow and schemes, but Steelio edged with Flow in between lines
Vocabulary- Both were good, but Steelio was better
Topic/Meaning- Felt Skillz did a better job in relation to the picture
Storytelling/Progression- Skillz had more of a build up in the story so he edges this Cat
Emotion- This Cat was close, But as a whole Skillz slightly edged this for me
Imagery- Another close one, but Steelio had a few more lines that made me picture it
Poetic Techniques- Not really sure about Techniques, but Steelio was a little more Complex so i'll go with him
Ending- Skillz ending i felt a little more, due to the build up of the drop

Overall Vote- Both had nice drops, Cats were close...Overall one's drop was a little easier to follow and had more of a story feel to it, Both were good, but MVGT-Intricate_Skillz

Rhyming Scheme/Flow: i gotta giv it to both on this one...
Vocabulary: Stee got this cat....but skills had some nice words in there also
Topic/Meaning: i gotta go with Skills wit da slight edge...even tho Stee's drop was very intellectual ... Skills story was just building to a greater ending
Storytelling/Progression: gotta go wit skills on this...he had the story goin forward better and it built up very nicely
Emotion: i gotta go with Stee on this.....felt the emotion coming from his use of vocab as well as the story....Eged it
Imagery: Skills.....he painted a very vivid picture with his drop was detailed i could put myself in his story......Stee's was very well put together also Skills eged it with more detail
Poetic Techniques: Stee...dude just came with some amizing poeticness in his drop...it was very welll put together from his use of vocab to the emotion behind it....it kept me reading.....Skills drop was very well put together also, just felt Stee's technique was more on point
Ending: goin with Skills on this all the way...the build up in his story was just awesome and it set that ending up very well...like i stated above i could put myself in to this drop alot more then Stee's...it keppt me wanting to know more about the story once i got to the end....this could damn well have been a short story...one of those that just drops you into the action

Good job from both. It was a really hard decision do to the difference in writing styles. i had to read through both 3 times just to be sure that i was making a thorough decision. I enjoyed both of these.
MVGT: Intricate Skills....your build up was great, the ending really set it off for me. It was just an all around good story. Steelio yours was great do to the fact that you have that mind that can use vocabulary well and put it into a story and also be able to rhyme it thats a very admirable skill....but where you lacked at was getting me into your story...alot of people that read are imaginative readers and enjoy putting themselves in the story almost more then actually reading it...im not hating on your drop by any means just a lil advice...if you can not only drop an intellectual topical like that but also get your reader into the story as if it was them they were reading about no one could stop you bro.......

Rhyming Scheme/Flow - Tie. Both had fluent verses.
Vocabulary - Steelio - Easily got this. His vocab produced at a high level.
Topic/Meaning - Skillz - the build up to before the battle when they charged in fit the picture perfectly. Steelio had a nice piece also, I felt that Skillz was more consistently following the same topic and meaning.
Storytelling/Progression - Skillz - The topic leading into this one. As I said I felt he followed his topic/meaning more consistently then Steelio had. I also think his had a more story telling base from the rise of the climax to the fall and the beginning of the war throughout the plot.
Emotion - Skillz - This was action a very close category. But because of the storytelling and progression that Skillz had over Steelio's verse, I felt that the build up before the war gave him this category. It made it more emotionally sound to where you can actually feel the emotions as you were reading it.
Imagery - Skillz - Skillz imagery just depicted the picture better.
Poetic Techniques - Tie - Both had there different aspect of this were they shined at.
Ending - Skillz - Only because of the storytelling factor from start to finish. I actually was not feeling that ending, I felt it could have been a bit better. But It still worked out for your piece.
