Scheme: LOADIN THE STRAP W/ A NEW CLIP Anyone who hasn't posted before March 28th by 11:59 pm EST will be DQ'd. Congrats to both for making it this far. Good luck Posted on: 2016-03-23 21:03:17 Private Message Manhattan

This battle y'all had some nice concepts and ideas... However one executed the scheme much better throughout the whole verse...making his lines hit harder.. Voted: Yes (Hidden)

This was by far one of the best verses from my winner in this tourney to be honest. Winner had better punches which formulated from more creative concepts than the losers. Also had better build ups tied in with the punches and every line had a concept which means there was little to no filler. Wording was an issue as the verse started to end. But besides that, i feel that my winner went with the scheme effortlessly and even his choice of words within the scheme set was much better than that of the loser. Loser had references and concepts which were a bit far fetched and he had more of statements than punchlines. Wording was clean in both the verses but i felt my loser had a better wording. Also winner had relevant setups which tied in with the ending punchline. Fair is in. Voted: Yes (Hidden)

I thought one was just better punchwise... with my loser, not everything was a punch and the hit quantity was lower. Both were dope, but we can only have one winner. Rohaan already said everything that needed to be said. Fair's in. 8-7. Voted: Yes (Hidden)

IMO this battle wasnt that close as we expect finals to be, i got my winner in first read although i read it twice just to be sure... both carried scheme very well but my winner was more smoother and had higher punch counts.. my loser wasnt that bad he had some nice punches but they werent enuff to take win here... fairs in no hate Voted: Yes (Hidden)

Interesting. One had the better/more creative wordplay, but you could tell from some of his concepts that he was really stretching to come up with punches that fit the scheme, which led to some odd choices of wording. The other one was more basic punch-wise but incorporated his punches into the scheme beautifully, and it just sounded better/smoother as I read it. He did have one fake personal that was . . . weird. Wasn't sure what to do with that. Anyhow, felt my winner was more consistent overall. Voted: Yes (Hidden)

Smoother wording and sophisticated bars. I'd be surprised if it goes the other way Voted: Yes (Hidden)

The 8 syllable scheme was chosen by the two battlers...not by me. Posted on: 2016-03-30 09:04:45 Private Message Manhattan

Not a bad battle guys...Both did have played lines in areas but ones punches had builds that related to the end punch which made them land harder the wording and flow was good for the most part...I feel the other had a cleaner flow and the wording was better but didn't hit hard as his opponent..Kinda preference thing here depending on what u look for...I got one though the fairs in. Both did an exceptional job with a scheme that wasn't easy in my eyes. Longer schemes in general are always tricky, given that you have to match both the syllable count AND be consistent with the rhyme tones all the way through, so props to both on not dropping the ball there. Both did well in that area and i didn't see any broken multies. With that being said, I leaned solely on creativity and concepts for my vote. And while one seemingly had a near flawless verse, the other's verse was more entertaining and fluent throughout. The punchline that sealed the deal for me was the PonyBoy/Dallas/Two Sigs line. That was really sick. But my vote is in. Good battle fellas. Vote is in. 1. Voted: Yes (Hidden)
