Expo:chickens can't fly, pigeons gas up and explode when you give them alka seltzer, blue jays and scrub jays are often mixed up and I referred to the blue champion title, duck vaginas are designed to prevent penises from entering (look it up), the next part is a play about birds eating worms, spraying Manhattan is a triple entendre: spraying the person with bullets, spraying the shit on the city, and literally turning a worm into shit and spraying it out my ass, Raven moms chew their food for their babies and I'm doing the opposite, hattan/hat and--paper hats can be refolded to make swans, eagle is a gun and crowbar is a metal bar you beat people with Posted on: 2015-05-30 22:01:28 Private Message Wonderbred

Expo: even the concepts that weren't related still had bird related set ups (Cave in/Air out with flying colors) Mike Tyson started a show where he raced pigeons. Posted on: 2015-05-30 22:18:51 Private Message Manhattan

The loser had the best line of the battle, but lost my vote mid-through w/ punches that just didn't hit like they should of. Voting on consistency here. Nonetheless, it was a good battle, some fresh and funny concepts from both. Good luck to whoever advances Voted: Yes (Hidden)

I had to read both a few times. I felt one started off great with a strong opener, but then the intensity and creativity kinda lacked in comparison. Not necessarily a bad thing because the rest was still captivating and conceptually impressive. He stuck to the concept closely and had some good solid punches. To the other, your style gives you great advantage, because it displays your versatility with concepts and how you present them. The level of vocabulary and the ability to stick to the concept with that vocab isn't easy. This was hard to judge but I had to choose one. Both came to the table ready, so both are greatly respected. Fair is in. Voted: Yes (Hidden)

Although it was a tough concept, i expected more in this battle....Wonderbred : love the opener...intensity dropped a little throughout the rest, but overall was a nice drop. Manhattan: Despite keeping the same scheme going, i feel you could have done better by utilizing a couple concepts with a different one, but also a good drop all together. FV is in, good battle and good luck Voted: Yes (Hidden)

This shit was way closer than it had to be. One obviously had the better scheming... not only did you carry out throughout the entirety of your verse, but it was very clean and read smoothly. The main problem facing this verse was the fact that a lot of your setups strayed off of the concept, and while you had the references throughout, I still felt like the way you merged them into the rest of your verse, especially with the ending punches, was almost suicidal. The other stuck to the concept well throughout, and the punches were IMO somewhat superior, but the scheme-complexity factor clearly wasn't there, and your multi sets weren't always perfectly clean. I felt like you tried to stretch them more than they needed to be, or than you could effectively do. Overall, one fit the concept slightly better and had better creativity, but the other completely upstaged his opponent with cleanliness and complexity. While I do have my winner for this battle, it easily could have gone the other way if my loser had made some tweaks to his verse. Fair's in. 7-7. Voted: Yes (Hidden)

Bird count: falcon, chicken, pigeon, bluejay/scrub jay, duck, bluebird, raven, swan, crow, eagle Posted on: 2015-06-01 00:49:12 Private Message Wonderbred

Both did pretty well with the concept here. There's really not much detail to go into, I just felt the winner used more superior concepts with a smoother read. Good read to both for a hard concept to run with. Good luck to whoever advances, fair's in. Voted: Yes (Hidden)

Fairs in.goodluck fellahs.one .one was overall stronger in more aspects. I also like to see more punches more directly using the given concept as opposed to simply referencing them thruout the setups.. fairs in Voted: Yes (Hidden)
