Two different approaches. Dono told a personal story while Moni expressed his personal feelings about steroid abuse. This boils down to preference and how people feel a topical should be done. From a topical writer's perspective, someone can appreciate Dono's verse more because its' harder to craft. He's obviously not a sports star who's facing allegations of abuse in real life, so for him to tell that story from a personal perspective to the point that it's detailed and believable is quite impressive and it gives insight, giving a perspective into the sports world that listeners may otherwise not have. It's much easier to express our personal opinions on any given topic as Moni has done. We all have already-made opinions, so the story-telling angle is usually held in higher esteem for that reason. At the same time, because we all probably have formulated opinions on steroid use, what Moni has expressed would more easily strike a cord with a lot of people, probably because they share the same sentiments. Steroids are dangerous, causing men to grow breasts and they lead to all sorts of problems which Moni touched on. Both did a great job on this, but like I said, it comes down to preference and I felt one took this. Fairs. Voted: Yes (Hidden)

hmm,, one came creative wit the 1st person perspective and the interesting cliff hanger at the end... other went conventional almost to the point of somethin you find in literature or an article... delivery wise felt one was a bit more crisper, and i actually enjoyed the creativity in ones approach ..fairs in Voted: Yes (Hidden)

Great topical match up! Very admirable writing by both competitors. I appreciated both interpretations, one more narrative approach to the subject and the other more critical analysis of the subject. This is a true toss up, and I could see this going either way based on individual voter preferences. Both had good structure and flow, but one edged it for me with what I felt was a bit stronger of a finish. BOTH WENT IN, so RESPECT!
