Ideas on text battles

When i first started out, i was on fire writing the craziest lyrics to other users but was disappointed that they never accepted my battle requests. This really messes up my win-streak because users can decline anytime they feel at a loss. Plus when i start a battle, it feels like i'm doing a cypher rather than dissing my opponent. Instead of submitting lyrics to accept battles, we ought to accept battles before submissions. We need to add more than one round with a time limit (a month or so) to respond. It's not fair that your opponent gets to use rebuttals in response to your raps and you don't. If we take out rebuttals, i can't see how it's battle rap.

In real life, rappers can't fill you in on “personal” stuff against others fast enough. The internet has that advantage. We should be able to add links for reference and annotations so everyone can understand our disses.
