At the present moment, I honestly don't think "too many battles" in the Basic Arena would be something to complain about. If it makes the activity go up because so many people are BOTH interested in doing them AND voting on them, I'm all for it. The only concern I have is that since an 8 liner is the smallest of the current text battle options, it may require more staff oversight and there may be scenarios where one person responds with more lines than the first person had posted, etc. There needs to be some standard for everyone to follow if we are to do one bar battles.
