They're putting up their picket lines, there's shouting in the streets.
The tittle-tattle talks of battles ending in defeats.
The wrath pours out of every man and woman in the land.
The plot is hot and ready and the revenge has been planned. 
Justice when the gloves come off, satisfying needs.
Restoring balance, remembering callous, scandalous misdeeds.
The villain goes about his life completely unaware
He drifts through darkened backstreet paths, there's people waiting there.
Waiting and anticipating, baited breath, invigorating
Gorging deep on what's to come, flame down the past, incinerating.
Hollow footsteps patter on, closer to the brood
Now comes the thunder of black boots - the villain is pursued.
His skull, his ribs, his arms and legs, his eye lids and his spine.
The vigilante vindicated serves back borrowed time.
