I had to read both verses three times over to come up with something. Personals were tossed in this battle that had me going wild on both ends. On both ends, you've got metaphors sprinkled along with schemes that accentuate the punches presented in both verses with a flair that could make a reader think twice, and if it were a battle presented on the streets, it'd be doubly effective. The thing that separates these two is that one had consistency through-out his verse, which is always a plus when done well, and it was exceptional in this example. The other started out a little on the weak side, but the verse got stronger and more heavy-hitting through the read. It's to my own personal fault that I had a difficult time catching my loser's flow the first couple of reads, but the third time around I finally got a hang of it--And it read really well. The few cases of wordplay there dotted his verse with a couple of heavy blows amidst his wild swings. I'm giving that a solid 9. My winner took this with his build-up. A solid foundation was presented in the first few bars that really built up the second 2/3's of his verse with heavy swings that had me going nuts in my chair. 9.5 to my winner. First competitor, your verse started out sick chief. The opener is probably one of the best I've seen in a while. Not THE best, but definitely one of them. What killed it for me eventually was the fact you tried to keep the same scheme all the way through. I think that's a great skill to use, but it can easily backfire into just repetitive rhyming. And soon after you try to keep the rhymes relevant instead of trying to really do damage. Your verse wasn't bad but the intensity definitely tapered off after about the 8th line. Switching it up would have done you good here. Second competitor, nice job of flipping the scheme and making it work. To be fair, no matter how sick you flipped it, it wouldn't have matched that opener that your opponent had lol but good job of staying creative and flipping the war concept. That stood out. The next scheme started slow but quickly picked up towards he Climbing the Ranks line. All in all I enjoyed the read. Constructed well and executed nicely. Nice battle gents. high-low..good spar here, one had very smooth wording through out and good flow but slightly lcked in the impact of punches, i felt his effort in roper wording gave way to that.. the other is always a joy to read, the whole military schem towards the end was niice bro, wording wasn't as smooth but didn't matter in the end..//fair1 Voted: Shodan /
