BB: opener was okay.. I liked the rain rain concept and it was played nice, however the wordplay was iffy on stan/stand.. and rain rain isn't wordplay for rain's reign.. Where's the S come into play?... Next bar the filler 'bimbo' line was ehh.. The extra 'then' in it, at mine then, pansy then messed the flow up IMO, the punch was alright though.. Liked the build up in the next bar, then just came with a simple nameplay for the punch, a bit of a let down there.. Rain in drought is an obvious nameplay to bring... Next bar the punch was good, flow was off.. Also I would suggest using looking at his 'opening lines' since one line isn't a bar.. The 'King book' and 'shining seen' area didn't read write flowwise... Not feeling the zoologist line, the here/hair wordplay is iffy, stretch even with an accent IMO.. Build up was missing something.. Closer was weak to be honest. another simple name play... Rain Matrix: opener was supposed to be Hallows/hollows??? Pot sold and Haul O's was iffy on the internal.. and I Hollows don't make sense.. If it was I hallows it wouldn't really make much sense being plural either... Hallow is to make holy, Empty Inside.. Mehh!! Don't know why you capped Black an Oath when it wasn't a multi to anything.. Hands on book, oath, and court shit was really nice though, but I don't really get this reference towards book besides just using the nameplay.. Did he really try to court your bitch? Or does it just have no direction with the exception of playing with his name?? Get me... Again Dewey Decimal line is more namplay on book.. I did however like the play and the usage of your rap name though.. The Tenacious D line read through smooth and was nice.. But again more nameplay... Denver hayes line was weak to be honest.. No direction, Unless I am missing it as a personal connection towards BB.. But even if it is, Smokeing denver haze like clothing lines doesn't make sense.. And smoking denver hayes like clothing lines doesn't really make sense. If your smoking denver hayes the clothing line.. How is smoking a clothing line like a clothing line.. and how is smokeing haze like a clothing line.. The overall concept and usage of the Hayes wordplay was forced and poorly written... 'Forced entry' line was nice besides the choppy flow around the WHORE, ANY part... Green, hulk, planting references were there but the whole bar failed to make any kind of punch attempt at your openenet.. Refering to him as the hulk was mehh.. seeing as the hulk is huge and smashes shit up... You planting some bombs isn't a punch at your opponent either.. That add inconsistency in your verse punch wise.. Your own black like your ancestors yo.. So you own your ancestors.. And If your ancestors are black, assumption is your black too.. Didn't know "black people owned other blacks back then?? and again name play..Again closer would have been better as a personal.. As in if book really turned on you or betrayed you.. but as is it's just another nameplay..Overall this battle was tough as shit to vote on.. TBH seeing both the names battling, I expected this to be better. There was almost nothing on the personal end.. It was all simple nameplay bullshit bars that everyone has heard in different forums before and most of the others had no directions.. Books Limbo champ and Jack Torrence line were cool.. But his set ups were kinda of long and there were a few mistakes reading his verse flow wise.. Rain The Dewey Decimal system although I have seen used before against Book was a nice play due to that being your rap name, Tenacious D line had that swag flow too making it work a little better... But you were inconsistent punchwise (Clothing line, PLanting some bombs) lines... I'm giving this to rain due to his flow.. His lines were better written but punchwise, conceptually, and consistently.. I expect you both to step it up.. Your some of the 'known names' on the site.. So live up to it.. My winner's verse was pretty impressive i gotta say, he had 2 KO punches imo, the only problem was the excessive nameplays which definitely takes a point off of the rate. My loser was nice with it too, he had some more creative concepts i would say, and he had a couple haymkaers too but they just didnt hit as hard for me, and since he also used too much nameplay, and was pretty equal in other areas i wnet the other way Voted: Black Book / Rain-Matrix
