Mauz.. Opener wasn't to bad, the metronome bar was hard to follow at first but after a second read felt it had some weight(r u Canadian aye)lol.. Looks like your picking up some good traits.. Feel in the future you've got a chance to bring some heavy cards to the table.. (Like billionaire's kids birthdays) lol... Neway, Grizz your opener was contagious.. Had to back up and fast forward on that skunk line, but it picked up real nice with that bars/lawn drunk shizz.. Pawn line was LW but clean (coulda been ah monster tho) dope play on Slugo n Von .. R-P-S game line felt like it was real close to ah body line.. Lola @ ur closer.. Bein ah bracket bully huh.. (Vote) goes to harder punches an well orchestrated concepts.. ZILLA the opener was ok the VEGE line was cool and proberly my fav line from you IMO but you had some filler in there that was unnecessary. Also the METRONOME line could have had a better set up and structure. Your core consisted w/a lot of ideas and open concepts but you had too much filler throughout till the end, you had a good flow and good concepts rolling but the punch never delivered, the concepts were there just needed better set ups and structure. You were up and down w/your punches, some had potential to be major and some just hit a cold spot (and i mean a COLD SPOT) and fell stale. You had a good flow going on w/some respectable vocab but i felt your drop got the better of you. I was hoping your closer would help you end your drop w/a big bang and it almost did but i felt it was a bit forced in the start but then after that it started coming together nicely, creating possibly your 2nd best line IMO. More wordplay was missing and definitely some more name flips was vital here. I've actually seen you drop heavier bars but this one was a bit disappointing, GRizz ok your opener was ok w/the wordplay and kept the concept alive to a point. Your core 16 consisted w/a lot of wordplay and well built concepts, added together w/a good flow and some nice structure to your bars. Most punches had fire behind them and a few 1 or 2 lines fell a bit stale IMO. A tiny bit of filler in some areas but nothing major. Your closer was proberly my fav line from you IMO. The reEFer line was a bit funny also the SKUNK concept was pretty dope to. Some concepts you had in there had the potential to definitely contain some haymakers. Good vocab. Really good battle here. Lot of punches goin around. Loser here just really needs to work on structure and some of the wording in his bars. There were too many "like____" or ""without ______" and that just really indicates a lower level of complexity if that's all your verse consists of, because the repetitive use of it shows you aren't using elongated setups. Still some good jabs in there. The winner had some good shit. Good concepts with clean execution that really had me thinking twice about shit. Some of the best lines I've seen in a while. Overall, my winner just used a better use if setups and showed went more indepth with his lines as far as complexity is concerned. But still a pretty good battle. Fairs in. Close again, same reasoning as last time for the loser. Felt like he had some played concepts, some were nice though. If the loser could execute the nice concepts always, he'd be a force to reckon wit. Winner had cleaner bars, executed them better, and his concepts were nice..(A couple played, but not many at all.) This battle was won w/ freshness. Both had some wording issues though. One had some dope lines that I was really feeling but had as many if not more concepts that were too played out for me and jabs that didn't even hit at all. The other was hitting w/ the more creative concepts which made his punches hit harder...not only that but his multis were nicer which made the flow smoother. Passing Through.. Mauz... good opener, good ride-out, weak middle...cohesive verse, good flow, decent punches... 7.6... Kermit, okay verse... good concepts, weak deliveries, okay flow... not direct enough of a verse... 7.1 ...Overall, I think both need work, but Mauz was one consistent middle away from an 8+ ... still, he gets the vote... better verse overall, he had a target. this was a dope battle. Easy win, in my opinion. Don't get me wrong tho, the loser came w/ some decent bars but he used his concepts & personals the wrong way. He had the right mindset but the wrong idea. While in the other hand, his opponent came w/ hard hitting punchlines & personals which overpowered the whole battle.
