I certainly see elevation in both verses. Still quite a few dodgy lines, punches were not perfect, but certainly the best presence I've seen from both of you. Illokwent, the first half of your verse was disappointing. Steel/steal wordplay is incredibly played and weak. Not to mention that the wordplay itself didn't make sense with the punchline. The bookend punch was good, worked well with the set-up. Pudding punch was a good concept, the actual punchline didn't hit as hard. Fall from the top has been used countless times, you used it in a more literal sense, which worked, but it tires me to read that concept over and over again. The closer was alright, wordplay worked, if not a little predictable. Not a bad verse, you could benefit from a little more aggression, seeing as it's an open, it's good work from you. Sticking to one scheme is always brilliant, but sometimes you have to change it up if it costs you punches. MV, I like how you've got a firm grasp on multies now. Your punches were good, but that lacked the set-ups and references that all brilliant punches have. Openers need to be fully crafted, your first punch worked off of one line, which was a quick reference put in just before the punchline. You need to get the set-ups in a little earlier in order to form a direction and a build-up. The knifeplay that followed after that was quite impressive. Subtle, not too forced. The cinematic reference certainly worked aswell. Down to Ya Roots/Hell of a Queen didn't work for me. I understand the roots reference, but the punch overall came off as incredibly vague. You needed more clarification. Closer was alright. I felt you could have built on the violent aspect and closed with that, rather than a jab. Not bad work from you. This is really hard to decide on, both came up even. One had a cleaner structure, with better set-ups. The other had more aggression but a lack of direction in a lot of their lines. I understood dude, but it still didn't make sense grammatically: 'caught steal' doesn't make sense at all in a sentence, ya dig? You don't get 'caught steal' you get 'caught stealing'. Just awkward man, even the vets do it, it's not a full wordplay in my opinion. Voted: ILLoKWENT / B U R D E N

Close ass battle. Good read. Both had dope lines. But it came down to consistency. To me my loser seemed to have a lot of filler and all wasn't as correlated as my pick here. However, my winner had a really weird flow. I think that's just me though. When I read it in my head AND out loud the multies seemed...... I wouldn't say forced but they didn't sound totally flowing together. I believe they were a little rushed. Fr example just that opener- look at the raps,put past my gats, would land a blast. There was only one syllable between each multie so it didn't give my brain enough time to process the full effec of the multi as opposed to havin slowed it down and putting a few filler words in there. It was like a consistent multi pattern but rushed. Rushed is the best word I can use. Nevertheless, still showed some dope shit. Another thing was the loser here seemed to have too much filler in the middle or at least that's how I see it. Fairs in. I'd suggest a rematch. Dope shit. Voted: ILLoKWENT / B U R D E N
