One verse had problems with structure & setups.. the multies leading up to the punches weren't too fascinating.. and since that was kind of the focal point, it hurt the verse. There was one nice punch in that verse, near the middle.. and the rest were played or VERY predictable. The other verse had about the same number of attempted punches but a few more landed.. one in particular in the middle of the verse that I thought was very nice. The scheme in this verse was also better. This verse did stray WAY off the battle with some totally irrelevant wordplay which could have hurt you if your opponent came a smidge harder. sWORDz: You started really dope, had me chuckling at the Barber Franchise and Pigeon Rest Stop lines. Kinda fell off after that tho. You still had some nice concepts but they weren't generating that much punches. The reccession Grind line was forced as fuck and didn't sound very great at all. The silly putty concept is pretty played. Grizzy: You started off really boring. Talking about DPS and D.I.E was stupid. Concepts were fresh, but they weren't really insulting your opponant. Mind hits the pavement = the most played reference ever. Ever since I heard Huey use it in KOTD it's been everywhere, I swear...otherwise, that punch was nice. Both were dope as hell.. I liked the barber franchise line that was a real hard hitter in this one.. But I also felt Grizzy's opener was pretty decent to.. Both started off dope with it.. Yo...this battle...honestly... HONESTLY wasn't that impressive. It was close too... I mean one had wordplay that was rly predictable when it led to the punch. The other had nice multis but i felt like he was drawing the attention to other crews than too his opponents. sWORDz - goood verse. i really dug the references. especially the recession line. i think you still need to refine your execution for readability, especially with your versatility with multi syllable bars. keep that in mind. it was either a stellar concept or a boring one lol no middle ground. just scrutinize the ideas. cool ass builds though, keep it it. Grizz - your verse didn't really start until a couple bars in. kinda needles name drops and refernces tbh. once you got going though you showed why you're a problem. i don't think you'd need near the expo if you just worded accordingly. the punchlines are there, the concepts are always there just keep building that clean style. Overall - One had more sting on their total verse and brought more heat to the table. Keep in mind this was not a landslide and the runner-up was about a setup/punch away from victory. Wow dope battle, sWORDz this some of the best shit i seen from you, Grizzy your concept was dope and original. This is a REAL tough one, both had nice wordplays, concepts, wording was quite nice on both sides, flow was good and punches were pretty even, meaning the ONLY thing i can put this battle down to is consistency, so IMO one edged it on that category.
